Name: Tsik'ah
Age: 63 Migrations
Gender / Pronouns: Guardian, She/Her
Homeworld: Harav Rak
Tsik'ah comes off as mean and grumpy, if appearances are to be judged. She has little patience in general, and less for those who come into her medical bay actively bleeding on the floor. Even less for those who do it repeatedly. It's not hidden knowledge that she is a guard (a role as well as a gender within whokik society, a highly respected position who guards the Seraph of a flock), and her anger at 'losing' this to her injuries is apparent.
However, not too deep under that resentment, she finds herself more happy than before. While she clings to her rank and is spiteful over losing her prestige (and, quite frankly, conflicted as to what that loss means for her gender), she enjoys helping and healing more than she did fighting, hunting, or protecting. If forced to admit it, she cares deeply about her patients, and always hated causing pain. To heal it, to protect in another way? She is glad she found her calling.
Tsik'ah is loud, rough, and just mean. Never wrong though, which somehow hurts more. She's commanding and impatient, and unafraid to boss someone around. Those qualities only worsen when the heat begins to rise and pressure builds- no one hesitates to listen to the screaming bird warrior when she wants to be heard.
Born in a long line of guards, Tsik'ah's whole life was centered around her Seraph. Hunt alongside her, protect her, defend and fight for her. Live, breathe, die for her. Tsik'ah never knew anything but that, and she never questioned it.
When another flock attacked theirs and her Seraph was in danger though, she was injured, and her Seraph was killed as she watched. Her flock grieved, before turning the blame onto Tsik'ah. Her other guards defended her, and were the only reason she wasn't stripped of her rank or exiled entirely. Struggling to see and to fly though, Tsik'ah effectively retired.
Her retirement was short lived though. A few weeks alone and with her flock glaring at her, she decided to leave in self imposed exile- eventually caving and working alongside on-world companies to make a living. She eventually found work with Dyson Dynamics, working under the world manager there. In a stroke of luck and good instincts, the manager put her to work alongside doctors and nurses.
Surprisingly, Tsik'ah caught on rather fast to the profession, pouring everything she had into the job- determination, drive, bitterness, and anger. Anything to stay afloat. Her disposition has kept her low on the ladder despite her natural proficiency with the 'craft', but she's quite content with where her life has led her.
